Kiva Auditorium Rules

Kiva Auditorium, Albuquerque, has several rules and policies to ensure its performances run as smoothly as possible. It’s a good idea to familiarize yourself with the Kiva Auditorium protocols before you visit so you can enjoy your night and know what’s what ahead of time. 

To ensure the safety of all patrons and guests, Kiva Auditorium has created the following code of conduct and policy guidelines. Please review and follow the rules and policies below as failure to abide by them may result in expulsion from the venue without refund.

Prohibited items

There are several prohibited items that you cannot take into Kiva Auditorium. These have been put into place to ensure the safety of the theater’s guests. The theater’s management reserve the right to deny access to people holding the following items:

Food and beverages

No outside food or beverages are allowed in the Kiva Auditorium without expressed written consent from Savor. Savor (SMG) is the exclusive in-house provider of all food and beverage within the Albuquerque Convention Center. So, you have plenty of snack and dining options before performances. 

Cameras

Cameras and recording devices are usually not permitted at events. You can bring cell phones, but make sure they’re silenced or turned off during the performance. This helps avoid any unnecessary interruptions that might hinder the experience for other guests. 

Bags

Large bags are not allowed inside the venue. Before heading inside, make sure any large bags are left in your vehicle. You can bring smaller bags inside, but note security will thoroughly check these before entry. 

Smoking products

Tobacco, vapes, lighters, and so on are all prohibited at the Kiva Auditorium. Admission will be denied to anyone carrying these at the venue. 

Additional protocols 

Lost and found

Don’t worry if you’ve lost an item, and think you may have misplaced it within the Kiva Auditorium. There’s a designated lost and found section in the venue. If you have trouble finding it, simply ask event staff during the show for help with finding the lost and found station. 

If you’ve already left the venue, call the lost and found office at 505-768-4575. Be prepared to leave your full contact information and detailed information about the lost items. The staff will make every effort to help you recover your lost items.

Arrival policy 

Make sure to check the event time on your ticket, as admission becomes complicated if you arrive late. Shows start promptly at the time listed on your ticket. Latecomers may have to wait in the lobby when arriving late, potentially missing parts of the show. You can find more information about showtimes in the program guide.

Cancellation policy

If a show is canceled due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, ticket holders will be notified promptly via media channels and the venue’s website. For inquiries regarding refunds or rescheduled dates, contact the venue at 505-768-4575.

Accessibility 

If you or someone in your party has special needs in terms of accessibility, the venue has plenty of specialized seating as required by guests. Accessible seating is available at every price level.

If you are disabled and are travelling alone to an event, check in with the manager on duty when you arrive, who will be able to assist you. They will ensure you have the necessary accommodations, helping make your experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
